Next tarot card: "The Human Experience"

Introducing "The Human Experience", oil on canvas, 120 x 90 cm, 2024. This painting richly symbolizes the journey of personal growth and spiritual awakening, key elements of this tarot card. The work features a metal tree, the Southern Italian Cimaruta, a protective amulet combining several symbols including a sprig of rue. Other elements like a hand, key, moon, rooster, and sometimes a winged figure or heart have been added over time.

Painting 'The Human Experience' by Klara Sedlo, oil on canvas, depicting the symbolism of human life and the protective amulet Cimaruta

The Cimaruta protects against the so-called mal'occhio, or evil eye—curses, bewitchment, or simply bad luck. Originally, it was also associated with women's health, motherhood, and in Southern Italian tradition, it is hung over children's cradles.

This card often represents the process of introspection and personal transformation that leads to a deeper understanding of oneself and one's place in the world. "The Human Experience" depicts this journey as a connection with natural and cultural symbols that provide protection and guidance.
