Continuing the Tarot Card Series: "Vampire Bite (and Protective Amulets)"

Introducing "Vampire Bite (and Protective Amulets)", a small painting measuring 50 x 40 cm, oil on canvas. This piece returns to the traditional European concept of vampires. Vampirism is a widespread narrative around the world, whether it's about classic vampires, fexts (one is said to be buried in our country), or energy-stealing vampires.

Painting 'Vampire Bite (and Protective Amulets)' by Klara Sedlo, oil on canvas, depicting a scene inspired by the traditional European concept of vampires and protective amulets.

In this painting, I focus on the vampire in the classic European sense, extending to the terms succubus/incubus, beings that come at night and drain life from their victims. You might recall the 18th-century painting "The Nightmare" by Henry Fuseli. In Haitian voodoo, the term vampire often refers to a similar type of demon.
