Klára Sedlo | Lakes and Mountains
  1. Dark Light

I imagine that in the mountains, in the tall mountains which are hard to climb, there are tiny rooms – they are hard to find and they contain symbols drawn upon their walls that speak about us. Each person finds something else in there.

It is the same with water holes, little ponds in the forest or below a hill. Something that we should, but dont want to see, is submerged there.

It is a parallel to human subconsciousness – there is also a number of places hidden high in the mountains or submerged deep underwater. And there, once, we hid what hurts us and what we dont want to find again. And that is why it is good to dive underwater and climb mountains, try to discover the hidden.

The Sun in my paintings symbolises constant unwavering hope, which does not disapper.
